A raid by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) at a motor vehicle inspector’s office in Tiruttani, Tamil Nadu, resulted in the seizure of Rs 1.46 lakh in unaccounted cash. The DVAC team found the money hidden in a garbage bin and on the floor, leading to the questioning of the inspector, her driver, and a middleman.

Two town panchayat officials in Karur, Tamil Nadu, were arrested for demanding and accepting a bribe from a man for fixing the tax on his land. The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) caught the officials red-handed with the bribe amount.
