IMD Issues Heat Wave Warning for East India, Uttar Pradesh

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heat wave warning for parts of East India and Uttar Pradesh, with conditions likely to continue for the next five days. Isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Gangetic West Bengal are expected to experience heatwave conditions from June 9-13, while Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, West Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh will face similar conditions from June 11-13. Odisha is also expected to encounter heatwave conditions on June 11-12. Additionally, the IMD has reported that the Southwest Monsoon has advanced over Mumbai ahead of schedule, with heavy rainfall expected over several regions.

Persistent Heatwave Grips East India, Relief Expected from May 5

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued severe heatwave alerts for East India, including a red alert for Gangetic West Bengal. The scorching conditions are expected to persist for the next three days, with a gradual decline from May 5. Heatwave conditions will also prevail over South Peninsular India, with thunderstorm activity predicted from May 4 in Telangana, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh.

IMD Heatwave Alert for Maharashtra and Mumbai

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for Thane, Raigad districts of Maharashtra and parts of Mumbai from April 27 to 29. The IMD also warned of severe heat wave conditions in parts of West Bengal, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand for the next five days. The ongoing heat wave spell, the second this month, is scorching parts of East India and is expected to continue for another five days. The IMD has advised people to take precautions to avoid exposure to extreme heat, including staying hydrated, wearing loose-fitting clothing, and seeking shelter during the hottest hours of the day.

Soaring Temperatures in Delhi, Intense Heat Wave Continues in East India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a sharp rise in temperatures in Delhi, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 40°Celsius in the next three days. However, no heatwave conditions are anticipated. Meanwhile, an intense heat wave continues to scorch large parts of east India, including West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar, for another five days. The IMD has issued warnings of heat wave to severe heat wave conditions in parts of West Bengal, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand during the next five days.
