A bus carrying Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on election duty met with a tragic accident in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. The vehicle fell into a gorge, resulting in casualties. Senior officials, including the IGP of Kashmir Zone, visited the hospital where the injured personnel were admitted.
In order to facilitate smooth transportation for personnel involved in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Delhi on May 25th, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced the extension of metro train services. Starting from 4:00 am on election day, metro trains will operate with a frequency of 30 minutes on all lines until 6:00 am. Following this initial period, regular metro services will resume throughout the day.
The Noida police have issued a traffic advisory for the Gautam Buddha Nagar parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh, which borders Delhi, in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on April 26th. The advisory specifically restricts traffic around the Phool Mandi (flower market) in Noida on April 25th and 26th. All types of vehicles, except for those on official election duty, will be prohibited from entering the internal roads surrounding the Phool Mandi complex during this period, as it will be used to store EVMs after the elections.
