The Kandhamal administration in Odisha took a creative approach to increase voter awareness and boost voter turnout by organizing a roadshow in Baliguda town on Tuesday evening. The centerpiece of the roadshow was a series of nine election-themed tableaux, each crafted by different block authorities and the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA). These tableaux showcased various aspects of the upcoming elections, including eco-friendly booths, home voting, and the importance of tribal participation. The roadshow also featured a fashion show and dance program for college students, adding an element of entertainment to the event. Sub-collector Rina Pradhan emphasized the goal of the roadshow: to attract voters to the booths and increase turnout. This initiative is part of the SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) initiative, which aims to encourage voter participation and make the voting experience more accessible and inclusive.
