BJP’s Tejasvi Surya Faces Case for Alleged Electoral Code Violation

Karnataka’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has filed a case against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Tejasvi Surya for allegedly soliciting votes on religious grounds during the second phase of Lok Sabha elections. The case was registered on Thursday for violating the election code of conduct. The second phase of polling is currently underway in 14 of the 28 constituencies, with the remaining 14 going to polls on May 7 in the third phase.
