Broward County Transit’s Propane Autogas Fleet Earns National Recognition

Broward County Transit (BCT) has been recognized for its dedication to sustainable transportation by the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC). BCT received the Energy for Everyone Hero award for operating an affordable and near-zero emissions propane autogas paratransit fleet. Since transitioning to propane nine years ago, BCT has saved taxpayers almost $2.9 million and reduced harmful carbon emissions by nearly 14,000 metric tons.
