India’s space agency ISRO is gearing up to launch its latest earth observation satellite, EOS-08, on August 16th, 2024. The launch will mark the culmination of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) development program. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to launch its latest earth observation satellite, EOS-08, on August 15th, 2024. The launch, onboard the third and final developmental flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV)-D3, will mark the completion of the SSLV Development Project and pave the way for operational missions. EOS-08, built on the Microsat/IMS-1 bus, carries three payloads designed for diverse applications, including satellite-based surveillance, disaster monitoring, and environmental studies.
