Effective June 11, 2024, visa fees for the Schengen area will increase. Adult visa fees will rise from €80 to €90, while children’s visas will increase from €40 to €45. The fee increase is being implemented to account for inflation and rising civil servant salaries. Non-European countries such as India, Pakistan, and China will be affected by this change. The Schengen area includes 29 countries, and visa-free travel is permitted for 90 days within this region for citizens of member countries.
