The Raiders and NV Energy have partnered to make it easier for eventgoers to charge their electric vehicles (EVs) at Allegiant Stadium. Thirteen Blink Charging Co. Series 8 charging stations have been installed in parking lots A and F as part of NV Energy’s program to increase EV charging options at popular destinations in Las Vegas. Each station has two charging ports with long cables. The stadium stations are among the first to be added as part of NV Energy’s Economic Transportation Electrification Plan. Resorts World also has EV stations, and more are planned for locations such as the South Point, Caesars Palace, The Venetian, and El Cortez. The program aims to support tourism and the economy by making EV charging more accessible. The Raiders have made several sustainability efforts at Allegiant Stadium, which is LEED Gold certified and the first NFL stadium powered by renewable energy.

Gig Harbor Implements Fees for EV Charging at Public Stations

In Gig Harbor, Washington, free EV charging at two major parking lots will soon be discontinued. An overstay fee of $0.40 per minute will be imposed if vehicles remain parked at the chargers after charging is complete. Qmerit Announces Growth in Residential Services for EV Charging, Battery Storage, and Solar Installations

Qmerit, a leading provider of implementation and systems integration solutions for electrification technologies, has announced significant increases in its residential services related to electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery storage systems, as well as solar panels and other services. The company’s national network of certified electricians implemented over 180,000 Level 2 and DC Fast EV charging systems for residences in 2023, a rise of about 71% compared to 2022. Qmerit also performed over 17,500 battery storage system implementations in 2023, a jump of approximately 170% from the prior year, and over 27,000 solar panel installations, a 2% uptick.
