Bouchard’s OT Winner Levels Series Between Oilers and Canucks at 1-1

Evan Bouchard scored in overtime as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Vancouver Canucks 4-3 in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series on Friday night. The teams traded power play goals in the first period, with Leon Draisaitl tying it up for the Oilers before Brock Boeser and Mattias Ekholm gave Vancouver a 2-1 lead in the second. Nikita Zadorov extended the Canucks’ lead to 3-2 late in the second, but McDavid tied it again in the third period. Bouchard’s overtime winner came off the stick of Canucks defender Ian Cole, and the Oilers now host Game 3 on Sunday with the series tied 1-1.
