Houston Woman’s Death Investigated as Possible Involvement of Ex-Boyfriend

A 52-year-old woman, identified as Rosenda Garcia, was found shot to death in her car on Sunday in Houston. Police believe her ex-boyfriend, who has not been charged, may be involved. According to her son, Daniel Gonzalez, the woman had recently kicked her boyfriend out of her apartment. Gonzalez said his mother’s ex-boyfriend has not been answering calls or reporting to work. While the ex-boyfriend has no domestic violence charges, Gonzalez claims he called the police on himself last year during an emotional episode and brandished a gun. Gonzalez expressed his desire for a swift resolution and for his mother’s alleged killer to be held accountable. The Houston Police Department urges anyone with information about the case to contact the Homicide Division.
