A Delhi University committee has cleared 12 government-funded colleges of financial irregularities, dismissing allegations of misappropriation and affirming their affiliation with the university. The Executive Council (EC), the university’s highest decision-making body, approved the findings, rejecting the Education Minister’s call for de-affiliation. The EC also approved funding for new construction projects and new courses, including an M.Tech. in Computer Science and a BA (Hons) in Russian language. However, several proposals, including allowing donors to name university properties, were dropped due to objections.
