St. Pete Beach Commission to Decide on TradeWinds Expansion Plan

After a marathon nine-hour meeting, the St. Pete Beach City Commission will reconvene on Tuesday to finalize the fate of the TradeWinds Island Grand Resort expansion plan. The $500 million project, which would add over 600 rooms and take 20 years to complete, has drawn both support and opposition from residents and environmental advocates. Residents have expressed concerns about overcrowding, traffic, and environmental impact, while resort officials have pledged to address these issues and work with the community. The commission meeting will take place tonight at 6 p.m. at the St. Pete Beach City Hall.
