Justice Department Sues Pro-Life Groups, Activists for Allegedly Blocking Ohio Abortion Clinic Access

The U.S. Justice Department has filed a civil suit against two pro-life organizations and seven individuals, alleging they violated federal law by obstructing access to an abortion clinic in Ohio in 2021. The suit accuses the defendants of using physical force, threats of force, and property damage to prevent patients from obtaining or providing abortion services, violating the 1994 Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. The complaint seeks $5,000 in damages for each person affected and fines of up to $20,516 for each defendant.
