Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo took the stage at the after-party for the Met Gala, surprising attendees with a magical performance inspired by fairytales. Grande, wearing a custom Maison Margiela Artisanal dress, opened her set with a rendition of “Once Upon a Dream” from Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty”. She was joined by 30 dancers and a 40-person choir, directed by Tony Award winner Michael Arden. Erivo joined Grande for a duet of “When You Believe”, made famous by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. The performance marked a perfect ending to a glamorous evening celebrating the latest exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
