A gruesome murder of a Dalit family in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, has sent shockwaves through the region. The accused, Chandan Verma, has confessed to killing the school teacher and his family due to a souring affair with the teacher’s wife. The police have arrested Verma and he has been shot in the leg during a recovery operation.
