Feige confirmed ‘Fantastic Four’ will be a period film, starting filming after Comic-Con 2024. Marvel’s Fantastic Four is set to be a major pillar of the MCU’s future, with a cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film is directed by Matt Shakman and written by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. While the plot is still under wraps, it is rumored that the film may be set in the 1960s and could feature the villains Doctor Doom or Galactus. The Fantastic Four is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
