A house fire in Cramahe Township, east of Cobourg, Ontario, early Sunday morning has claimed the life of one person. The Northumberland OPP reports that emergency crews arrived at the scene on Blyth Park Road, located approximately five kilometers east of the village of Colborne, at approximately 3:40 a.m. Upon investigation, authorities confirmed the death of a male in his 40s within the residence. The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) was informed of a domestic violence assault involving Justin Varnado and his partner months before the fatal house fire in Wallingford that killed all three family members.
