Five RCMP officers were found to have acted reasonably when they shot and killed a 27-year-old man on Highway 2 near Leduc, Alberta, in May 2020. The man, who had previously fired at police officers and a civilian in Blackfalds, pointed a gun at an officer after his vehicle was stopped by a spike belt. The officers fired a total of 22 shots, seven of which struck the man. An autopsy determined that the man died from multiple gunshot wounds and had consumed cocaine, marijuana, and alcohol.

Roger was convicted of manslaughter on the basis of being a willing party to the crime, while Anthony was convicted of manslaughter and second-degree murder. The appeal courts dismissed arguments that the trial judge erred in instructions to the jury and concluded that no substantial miscarriage of justice occurred.

Second Suspect Arrested in Fatal Las Vegas Shooting of 16-Year-Old

A second suspect, identified as 18-year-old DeAjai Guaydacan, has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy in Las Vegas earlier this month. Guaydacan was apprehended in Spanish Fork, Utah, and is currently facing extradition to Las Vegas on suspicion of open murder. All suspects initially fled the scene before the arrival of law enforcement officers. Henderson was transported to University Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries. Another suspect, a 17-year-old male, was previously arrested in connection with the case. His identity remains undisclosed due to his juvenile status. In a heart-wrenching turn of events, two women, 17-year-old Drenesia Willis and 40-year-old LaNeshaia Pinkard, met their demise in a shooting incident at an apartment complex near Fair Park in Dallas. The woman, known as Crackhead Barney, repeatedly asked Baldwin to say ‘Free Palestine’ and ‘F— Israel,’ while also accusing him of killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
Baldwin held the door open for the woman and told her to ‘get out,’ eventually snatching her phone out of her hand. Crackhead Barney claimed she was attacked but Baldwin’s representatives denied this.
Entertainment Weekly received a statement from Crackhead Barney’s publicist, asserting the incident was a critique of the entertainment industry’s silence on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Baldwin is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Hutchins’ death and is scheduled to appear in court in July.
