Apple is reportedly in negotiations with FIFA to acquire exclusive streaming rights for the upcoming expanded Club World Cup tournament. The tournament, set to feature 32 teams, is expected to launch in the United States next year. Similar to Apple’s coverage of Major League Soccer (MLS), the Club World Cup streaming is likely to require an additional subscription fee.
FIFA is reportedly close to finalizing a deal with Apple that would give the company global streaming rights for a 32-team Club World Cup tournament. The tournament, scheduled to begin in June 2025, would feature top club teams from around the world. If the deal goes through, it will mark the first time that FIFA has locked itself into a single global contract for viewing.
