The scene, rehearsed and planned with safety precautions, involved a second unit shooting. One crew member remains hospitalized, but all are expected to fully recover. The studio and union are investigating the accident. Production is not expected to be impacted.

Several crew members of Eddie Murphy’s upcoming film, ‘The Pickup,’ were injured in a car accident on set. Two of the injured were hospitalized. The crash, between a car and a truck, occurred during filming on Saturday. Amazon MGM Studios, the film’s production company, stated that the scene had been rehearsed and safety precautions were in place. However, the sequence did not go as planned, resulting in injuries. The source, who spoke anonymously, described the incident as a ‘completely freak accident’ involving a truck that locked up and hit a car. The injuries ranged from bumps and bruises to broken bones, and one crew member remains hospitalized. All injured crew members are expected to make full recoveries.
