Accomplished producer and executive Becky Sloviter has been appointed President of Miramax Motion Picture Group. Sloviter’s appointment follows Miramax CEO Jonathan Glickman’s recent onboarding. Joining Miramax after a first-look arrangement with ABC Signature, Sloviter brings a wealth of experience in both film and television production. Among her notable credits are the critically acclaimed “Palm Springs,” Hulu’s “PEN15,” and Netflix’s “I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson.” Miramax CEO Glickman praised Sloviter’s keen eye for balancing artistic merit and commercial success, expressing confidence in her leadership to guide the studio’s film division. Sloviter expressed her enthusiasm to contribute to Miramax’s legacy of cinematic storytelling. Having honed her skills under industry veterans Mary Parent and Scott Stuber, Sloviter has overseen a range of successful films, including “Role Models” and “The Cabin in the Woods.” Miramax currently has several high-profile projects in the pipeline, including Robert Zemeckis’s “Here” and Netflix’s adaptation of “The Henna Artist.” The studio recently acquired television rights to the “Halloween” franchise and is actively developing additional projects both domestically and internationally.

Garrett VanDusen, formerly an international concert buyer, promoter, and global tour manager, now joins Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA) as Vice President of Physical Production. With over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry, VanDusen has produced films and television shows in various locations worldwide. His notable credits include “Tropical Mystery Island,” “Curious Caterer,” “Love in the Maldives,” “The Hammer,” “Greed – Seven Deadly Sins,” and “Wrath – Seven Deadly Sins,” among others. MPCA, with a 37-year history in the business, has produced over 200 films and TV shows, including the recently released Netflix rom-com “Irish Wish” starring Lindsay Lohan. Upcoming projects include “Mother of the Bride” with Brooke Shields and Miranda Cosgrove, and two films for Republic Pictures: “Winter Spring Summer or Fall” with Jenna Ortega and “The Image of You” with Sasha Pieterse.
