Firaxis Games has announced Civilization 7, the latest installment in the popular 4X strategy game franchise. The game is scheduled for release in 2025 and will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. While gameplay details are still scarce, the game is expected to stay true to the series’ core gameplay loop of exploring, expanding, exploiting, and exterminating. A gameplay showcase is planned for August 2024.
