A 38-year-old man is facing several charges after an armed assault at Gaa-gwekwekojiwang (Ebb and Flow First Nation), Manitoba. Officers from the Ste. Rose-du-Lac detachment responded to a home in the community, hearing gunshots coming from behind it. With the help of police dog and drone units, the suspect was tracked to a wooded area and arrested, possessing a loaded rifle.
The man is charged with assault, recklessly discharging a firearm, and possessing a weapon for dangerous purposes.
