Miami International Airport’s Flamingo Garage Extension Commences Construction

From May 1, 2024, to November 2024, Miami International Airport’s lower drive between concourses G to J will be narrowed to three lanes due to the construction of the Flamingo Parking Garage extension. Hotel shuttles will now operate from the departures level. Expect delays and allocate extra time for navigation. Miami-Dade Aviation Department officers will be onsite to assist with traffic flow. The Flamingo garage extension, boasting 2,240 spaces across seven levels and costing $136 million, is scheduled for completion by summer 2026. It will feature 50 electric vehicle charging stations and energy-efficient LED lighting, earning Parksmart Silver Certification for sustainable practices.
