North Korea Executes Officials Over Summer Floods

Heavy Rains Cause Widespread Damage in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

Torrential rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have resulted in devastating floods, causing significant damage to property and infrastructure. At least 33 people have died, and many villages have been submerged. The Indian Air Force and NDRF are conducting rescue and relief operations in the affected areas. The state governments have requested federal assistance to deal with the disaster.

Heavy Rains Expected Across India: Orange Alert Issued for Multiple States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall across various parts of India, with an orange alert issued for Telangana, Gujarat, Assam & Meghalaya, and west Madhya Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, already impacted by severe floods, are expected to receive more rainfall. The IMD has also predicted thunderstorms, squally weather, and heavy rainfall in specific regions over the next few days.

Heavy Rains Lash Telangana, Andhra Pradesh; 99 Trains Cancelled, Villages Submerged

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are battling severe floods caused by heavy rainfall. In Telangana, 110 villages in Khammam district are submerged, with 119 people stranded. In Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada witnessed severe flooding, affecting houses and cars. 99 trains have been cancelled and 54 diverted due to waterlogging on railway tracks. The Union Home Minister has assured both states of central assistance.

India Denies Involvement in Bangladesh Floods, Blames Misleading Report

India has refuted claims made by CNN that it was responsible for the recent devastating floods in Bangladesh, calling the report misleading and factually inaccurate. The Indian government maintains that the floods were a result of heavy monsoon rains and not due to the release of water from Indian dams. Meanwhile, the UN reports that over 18 million people in Bangladesh have been affected by the floods, with over 1.2 million families trapped.
