Himachal Pradesh Floods: Cloudburst Triggers Flash Flood in Kullu, Washing Away Footbridge and Shops

A cloudburst in the Tosh area of Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh triggered a flash flood, washing away a footbridge and three temporary shops, including a liquor shop. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, but thankfully no casualties were reported. The Kullu Deputy Commissioner has warned residents to stay away from rivers and rivulets and avoid building temporary structures near nallahs. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted increased monsoon activity in the state, with heavy rainfall and potential landslides and flash floods in several districts.
