Many Brits Unaware of Food and Drink Origins

A shocking study reveals that a staggering 40% of Britons rarely or never check the packaging of their food and drinks to determine the country of origin. The survey of 2,000 adults found that nearly 75% are clueless about the origin of coffee, while 64% are oblivious to the fact that tea typically comes from China. A quarter of respondents incorrectly believe Champagne is a British beverage, while 26% are unaware that Coca-Cola originated in the United States, and 29% have no idea where Sangria was first enjoyed.
