A man in Guelph has been arrested after allegedly choking a former co-worker at a business in the city’s west end. The incident occurred on Friday when the male suspect entered the establishment and engaged in an argument with the female victim. Police report that the suspect grabbed the victim’s throat and pushed her against a table, causing temporary breathing difficulties and throat pain. The victim did not require medical attention. The 23-year-old suspect from Guelph was apprehended the following morning and charged with assault causing bodily harm.
