Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the public to vote in large numbers in all the 96 seats of 10 states and union territories whose elections are being held today in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

Eight Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal will go to polls in the fourth phase of the 2024 general elections on May 13. The constituencies, located across south Bengal, will see prominent political figures contesting, including State Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders Mahua Moitra and Shatrughan Sinha, and BJP’s Dilip Ghosh and S.S. Ahluwalia. The fourth phase will also see the electoral debut of former cricketers Yusuf Pathan and Kirti Azad, who have been fielded by the TMC.
