Trained by Marco Botti in Newmarket, Folgaria has a 100% record in her two-year-old season in Italy and is expected to continue her success throughout the campaign. The win marked a welcome tonic for the Botti operation after the tragic loss of jockey Stefano Cherchi in Australia. Folgaria is now being targeted for the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches at ParisLongchamp on May 19, where the opportunity to race around a bend is seen as a key factor in her selection over the British equivalent.
