In a thrilling high school softball game, freshman Valeria Lopez delivered a clutch two-run single to lead Centennial High School to a remarkable 9-4 victory over top-ranked Palo Verde High School. Despite trailing 4-0 entering the sixth inning, Centennial rallied with two outs, scoring seven runs to secure the win. Lopez’s heroics, along with timely hits from her teammates and a strong performance from pitcher Sloane Merrell, propelled the Bulldogs to the upset victory.

Freshman Lily Radek has quickly become a valuable asset for the Naperville North Huskies girls’ soccer team, earning a starting spot at outside back and excelling in her role. Her relentless effort, composed demeanor, and willingness to learn from her teammates have earned her praise from coach Steve Goletz and the respect of her senior teammates. Radek’s contributions have helped the Huskies allow just nine goals in 14 games.
