Ubisoft is developing two new Far Cry games: a mainline entry (Far Cry 7, codenamed Blackbird) with a Majora’s Mask-inspired 72-hour countdown mechanic, and a multiplayer extraction shooter (codename Maverick). Both games, initially planned for 2025, are now slated for 2026, following delays impacting Ubisoft’s financial projections.
Devolver Digital, known for its quirky humor, announced the postponement of three games – Baby Steps, Skate Story, and Stick It to the Stickman – to 2025 during its own unique awards show, the ‘Devolver Delayed Awards’. The event also featured a touching in memoriam segment and the bizarre acceptance speech for a non-existent game, Volvy’s Adventure DX, by Inscryption’s Daniel Mullins.
