Cyprus is on track to achieve record-breaking tourist arrivals from France, surpassing last year’s impressive number. This surge is attributed to targeted efforts to boost the island’s appeal to French travelers, focusing on niche tourism experiences and sustainable practices. The Ministry of Tourism is actively engaged in promoting Cyprus as a culturally rich, gastronomically diverse, and environmentally conscious destination.
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Annual Summit 2024 concluded on May 17, showcasing innovative and sustainable developments in tourism. The summit, held at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, featured panel discussions, a fireside chat, and exchange sessions on the latest trends in international tourism. Key highlights included an interview with Pansy Ho, Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Shun Tak Holdings Limited, a presentation by Euromonitor International on essential travel and tourism trends, and sessions on travel technology, artificial intelligence, and gastronomic tourism. The summit also saw the release of a report on human capital development in tourism.
