Milan Prepares to Ban Late-Night Snacks to Address Noise Concerns

Milan is proposing a new law to ban takeaway food, including pizza, ice cream, and drinks, after 12.30am on weekdays and 1.30am on weekends and public holidays. The ban aims to address noise complaints from residents. The proposed law would be in effect in 12 of Milan’s districts, including popular nightlife areas. This is not the first time Milan has attempted to ban late-night gelato sales, with a similar proposal failing in 2013.
