George Lucas and Mellody Hobson Create Record-Breaking Chicago Condo

Star Wars creator George Lucas and his wife, Mellody Hobson, have combined their two existing condos in the Park Tower building in Streeterville, Chicago, to create a 16,000-square-foot duplex penthouse. The combined cost of the two units and construction is $33.5 million, making it the highest-priced finished condo in Chicago history. Lucas and Hobson’s new condo will have two interior staircases, new electrical and mechanical work, and was designed by architect Scott Fortman of Gibbons, Fortman & Associates.
