This decision signifies the studio’s desire to explore new stories within the Feudal Japan setting, rather than pursuing a direct sequel to ‘Ghost of Tsushima.’
Sony surprised fans with the announcement of a new Ghost of Tsushima game, ‘Ghost of Yotei’, during their State of Play event. Set 300 years before the original game, ‘Ghost of Yotei’ features a new female protagonist named Atsu, who is on a mission to hunt something in the surrounding area of Mount Yotei while being hunted by the Ronin.
Sucker Punch Productions unveiled ‘Ghost of Yotei’, a captivating sequel to the acclaimed ‘Ghost of Tsushima’, set for release on PlayStation 5 in 2025. The game introduces a new female protagonist, Atsu, and takes place in the untamed wilderness of Mount Yotei in Ezo (modern-day Hokkaido) over 300 years after the events of the original game.
