NYU Arrests Over 150 in Pro-Palestinian Protests

Over 150 protestors were arrested at New York University on Monday night during pro-Palestinian demonstrations that have swept college campuses across the country. The arrests occurred after school officials requested assistance from the New York Police Department to clear a plaza on NYU’s Manhattan campus. Many of those arrested were still being processed, but most were expected to be released. The pattern of arrests followed similar incidents at Columbia University and other schools, including Yale University, since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas conflict. The NYPD emphasized its readiness to address illegal actions on campuses.
