Mumbai Cab Driver Found Dead After Apparent Suicide from Bandra-Worli Sea Link

A Govandi-based app-cab driver in Mumbai was found dead on Friday after allegedly jumping from the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, with police receiving a distress call at midnight. Search and rescue efforts were conducted by the Worli Fire Brigade, Bandra Fire Brigade, and Worli Police, but the driver’s body was not found until the following morning near Dadar Chowpatty. The police are currently investigating the incident, and the reason behind the driver’s tragic decision remains unclear.

BMC Cracks Down on Unregistered Nursing Homes in M-East Ward

The BMC’s M-East ward health officials have issued notices to nine out of 24 unregistered nursing homes operating in slum pockets. These facilities lack approved building plans and operate on technical grounds. The BMC is conducting inspections and will issue notices to more places. A social activist has also sent a legal notice to the BMC demanding action within 15 days.
