Bikers Assault Bus Conductor in Chennai, Second Attack on Govt Bus Crew in a Week

In a brazen act of violence, two bikers brutally assaulted a bus conductor in Chennai on Tuesday for attempting to move their illegally parked motorcycle that was obstructing the bus’s path. The incident, which took place at the Kasturba Hospital bus stop in Triplicane, marks the second attack on government bus crew in Tamil Nadu within the past week. The injured conductor, 50-year-old Keshavulu, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and has filed a case against the attackers. The assault highlights the pressing issue of violence against public transport workers, with transportation activist K Anbalagan calling for stricter action against offenders, particularly college students who often receive lenient treatment due to concerns about their future.
