The Indian government’s PM Internship Scheme, aimed at providing one-year experience in top companies, has made Aadhaar mandatory for availing benefits. The Odisha government will provide over Rs 21 crore in transport and escort allowance to 35,076 school students in the state for the academic year 2024-25. The allowance, which is given to students who travel more than 1km to attend school, will be disbursed based on attendance and will be directly deposited into the students’ or their parents’ bank accounts.
