Tennis icon Billie Jean King will be the Grand Marshal of the 136th Rose Parade, marking a historic moment as the first female athlete to hold the position solo. King, known for her advocacy for gender equality and social justice, will preside over the parade on January 1, 2025, and participate in the coin toss for the Rose Bowl game.
Acclaimed actor and singer Billy Porter will serve as both the Celebrity Grand Marshal and Headliner for the 2024 San Francisco Pride celebration. This marks a special honor for Porter, who has previously held the role of Grand Marshal in the 2023 NYC Pride March. Porter, a Tony, Emmy, and Grammy winner, will participate in the parade and perform on the Kaiser Permanente Main Stage on Sunday, June 30th. SF Pride has also named six additional Community Grand Marshals, showcasing the diverse and vibrant LGBTQ+ community.
