BJP-JD(S) Alliance Hinges on BJP Leadership’s Decision, Says H.D. Kumaraswamy

Despite allegations of sexual assault against Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, former Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy insists that the BJP-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition will prevail based on the BJP leadership’s determination. Kumaraswamy dismisses concerns about the alliance’s longevity, emphasizing his focus on securing justice for victims of sexual assault. He credits the alliance with curbing the Congress’s momentum and attributes the controversy to the Congress’s divide-and-conquer strategy. Notably, Kumaraswamy has maintained open communication with both central and state BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Karnataka BJP president B.Y. Vijayendra.

JD(S) Suspends Prajwal Revanna Amid Sexual Abuse Allegations

JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy has announced the suspension of his nephew Prajwal Revanna, who is also the party’s candidate for the Hassan Lok Sabha seat, following allegations of sexual abuse against him. Kumaraswamy clarified that the party was not aware of these allegations prior to the announcement of Revanna’s candidacy and sought to distance the JD(S)’s alliance partner, the BJP, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the case.
