Sony has finally unveiled its long-awaited PC adapter for the PlayStation VR2 headset. Scheduled for release in August, this adapter will allow players to experience VR games like Half-Life: Alyx through the PSVR2. While the PSVR2 boasts impressive specs, it has lacked compelling games for the PS5. However, Sony’s PC compatibility solution aims to expand the headset’s potential. Players can use the PC adapter with a DisplayPort 1.4 cable to enjoy VR games on Steam. To ensure optimal performance, Sony recommends using a PC with Windows 10 or 11, an Intel Core i5-7600 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 processor, at least 8GB of RAM, and a compatible graphics card. The PSVR2 PC adapter will be available on August 7th at a retail price of $60.
