IT Professional Commits Suicide After Alleged Harassment by Manager in Pune

A 36-year-old IT professional, Vishal Pramod Salvi, took his own life by jumping into a riverbed in Pune after allegedly being consistently harassed and humiliated by his manager, Zeeshan Haider. Salvi had recently been fired from his job and cited the manager’s threats and public humiliation as the reason for his suicide. A case has been registered against Haider under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code for abetment of suicide.
