India’s Russian Oil Purchases Prevented Global Price Surge, Says Minister Puri

India’s decision to buy oil from Russia amidst the global energy crisis played a crucial role in preventing a drastic rise in global oil prices, according to Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. In an interview with CNN, Puri stated that if India hadn’t purchased Russian oil, prices could have reached $200 per barrel, impacting consumers worldwide. India to Soon Have World’s Second-Largest Urban Metro System

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri highlighted the rapid development of urban metro transport in India, emphasizing that the country is set to have the world’s second-largest urban metro system within the next two and a half years. With 945 kilometers of metro system currently operational and another 1,000 kilometers under construction, India is poised to make significant strides in urban transportation.
