The accused persons were produced before a special CBI judge in Chandigarh. The Yamunanagar Police Department has initiated the process of suspending Inspector Balwant Singh and has also initiated departmental and disciplinary actions against him.
The Chandigarh Police have initiated an investigation into the murder of a Haryana Police constable whose body was found in the city’s Maloya locality. The victim, identified as Ajit, was found in uniform with injuries to his face, suggesting that he may have been stoned to death.
