San Jose Neo-Nazi Sentenced to Prison for Journalist Threats

Nicholas Welker, a San Jose neo-Nazi, was sentenced to 3½ years in federal prison for threatening a journalist. Welker, the leader of the violent extremist group Feuerkrieg Division, posted a threat on an online forum targeting the journalist, calling him a ‘race traitor’ and warning him to cease reporting on the group. Two underage members of Feuerkrieg then sent the threat directly to the journalist’s Twitter account. Welker pleaded guilty to conspiring to make threatening statements and was sentenced to 44 months in prison.

Rutgers Islamic Student Center Vandalism: Man Charged with Federal Hate Crime

Jacob Beacher has been arrested and charged with a federal hate crime for vandalizing and burglarizing the CILRU Islamic student center at Rutgers University on Eid al-Fitr. The FBI alleges that Beacher broke a window to enter the building and smashed religious objects and stole a Palestinian flag and a charity box. The university administration has condemned the act of violence and expressed support for the Muslim community.
