IMD Weather Forecast: Heatwave to Continue in Northern India, Rains Expected in the South and Northeast

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather forecast for the upcoming days, predicting heatwave conditions in several northern states, including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. Heatwave conditions are also expected in Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha. However, strong surface winds are likely to provide some relief in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan. The IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall in the southern peninsula, including Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and Karnataka, as well as in the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
