Stevenson Fires Back at Garcia’s Father’s Comments, Claims He Kicked Shakur’s ‘A**’ in Amateurs

Ryan Garcia’s father, Henry Garcia, recently claimed that his son would knock out Shakur Stevenson if they fought. Stevenson, who is undefeated as a professional, fired back on social media, saying that Henry Garcia had been “hating on me for years” and that he is “ready whenever” for a fight. The comments come after Ryan Garcia’s impressive unanimous decision victory over Devin Haney, in which he scored three knockdowns. Garcia has said that he is done at 135 pounds and could be finished at 140 as well. Stevenson’s camp could try to negotiate a bout at a catchweight around 143 pounds, but adding an extra eight pounds for a fight against Garcia could be too much too soon.
